SUMMARY:Growing Natives Garden Tour 2025
LOCATION:Santa Clara County and southern San Mateo County
DESCRIPTION:The Growing Natives Garden Tour (GNGT) is a free, self-guided tour of garde
ns within our Chapter area that feature a minimum of 70% California native
plants. Sign up to tour the gardens or volunteer as a docent or greeter! Or
consider becoming the coordinator for our year-round Garden Previews. \nAl
l are welcome to tour the gardens in this, our 23rd Annual GNGT, but advanc
e registration is required to receive garden addresses. These tour gardens
are attractive, water-wise, and low maintenance. They also use a minimum of
chemicals and provide habitat havens for birds, butterflies and pollinator
 s. California’s native plant gardens increase wildlife corridors in fragmen
ted habitats, preserve our natural ecosystem and promote biodiversity in ou
r built environments. They help restore nature, one garden at a time! Nativ
e plant tours provide inspiration and information for native gardeners, des
igners, and growers.\nOver 50 of our home and public gardens landscaped wit
h California native plants will be open to the public for in-person tours o
n Saturday, April 12 and Sunday, April 13, from 10:00am to 4:00pm. On Satur
day, registered visitors may tour the gardens in these southern Chapter loc
ations: Alviso, Campbell, Cupertino, Gilroy, Los Gatos, Morgan Hill, San Jo
se, Santa Clara and Saratoga. On Sunday, registered visitors may tour the g
ardens in these northern Chapter locations: Los Altos Hills, Mountain View,
Menlo Park, Palo Alto, Portola Valley, Redwood City, Belmont, San Mateo, H
illsborough and Sunnyvale.\nIf you can’t attend in person on tour days, you
can visit online anytime at www.gngt.org, which has a page for each garden
including descriptions, photos, videos and plant lists.\nAdmission to part
icipate in GNGT is free, but registration is required at www.gngt.org (http
s://www.gngt.org) to obtain tour maps with garden addresses. Register for t
he tour early to ensure access to late-breaking information. Only one perso
n per group needs to register.\nHelp spread the word! Print or post the GNG
 T flyer from here: www.gngt.org/GNGT/Pressroom.php (https://www.gngt.org/GN
