 your garden, this talk is for you! Come get inspired with an overview of na
 tive plant design basics. Learn how to set functional, aesthetic and ecolog
 ical goals for your yard and draw a simple plan.\nWe will discuss the selec
 tion of native plants for year-round blooms and how to group them for pleas
 ing design aesthetics, especially during our dry summers. Photos will be sh
 ared of attractive garden renovations and groupings of native plants that w
 ork well in sun or shade. Become familiar with favorite native plants that 
 entice a variety of pollinators, birds and butterflies to the garden. Nativ
 e planting design basics work well for a small area with just a few plants 
 or a larger full garden design.\nThis is the first talk in a three part ser
 ies. Talk #2 on May 8 will cover native plant garden installation: planting
 , irrigation and mulch. Talk #3 on July 24 will cover native plant garden m
