 round, this flora-rich area.&nbsp;Red Hills is a foothill sierran&nbsp;serp
 entine region in Tuolumne&nbsp;County, about a two-hour&nbsp;drive from the
  Bay Area. We&nbsp;will walk two sections,&nbsp;observing what we hope will
 &nbsp;be early blooming flowers in&nbsp;the shoulder season. Rare&nbsp;serp
 entine endemic tripod&nbsp;buckwheat (<i>Eriogonum&nbsp;</i><i>tripodum)</i
 >, Red Hills soap&nbsp;plant (<i>Chlorogalum&nbsp;</i><i>grandiflorum)</i> 
 and the rare&nbsp;Rawhide Hill onion (<i>Allium&nbsp;</i><i>tuolumnense)</i
 > are present.&nbsp;Hopefully bitterroot will be in&nbsp;bloom.</p><p class
 ="p1">Please bring lunch, snacks and&nbsp;plenty of water. Heavy rain&nbsp;
 cancels.</p><p class="p1"><b>Directions</b>: We will meet at the Red Hills
