DESCRIPTION:Join Joe Cernac as we observe, heads bowed to the ground, this flora-rich a
 rea. Red Hills is a foothill sierran serpentine region in Tuolumne County, 
 about a two-hour drive from the Bay Area. We will walk two sections, observ
 ing what we hope will be early blooming flowers in the shoulder season. Rar
 e serpentine endemic tripod buckwheat (Eriogonum tripodum), Red Hills soap 
 plant (Chlorogalum grandiflorum) and the rare Rawhide Hill onion (Allium tu
 olumnense) are present. Hopefully bitterroot will be in bloom.\nPlease brin
 g lunch, snacks and plenty of water. Heavy rain cancels.\nDirections: We wi
 ll meet at the Red Hills Parking Area at 9:30am. There is a bathroom at the
