DESCRIPTION:<p class="p1">If you’ve wanted to learn how to maintain native plants,&nbsp
 ;this talk is for you! Come get inspired and learn how to do&nbsp;it yourse
 lf. The talk will include pruning guidelines for&nbsp;native plants, inform
 ation on the time of year to prune,&nbsp;strategies for weed control, an ov
 erview of basic irrigation&nbsp;scheduling and a few favorite tools used in
  maintenance.</p><p class="p1">This is the third talk in a three-part serie
 s. The previous&nbsp;two talks are available on the Chapter’s YouTube chann
 el.&nbsp;The first was in March and covered design basics and the&nbsp;seco
 nd was in May and covered installation basics.</p><p class="p1"><b>Stephani
 e Morris </b>has been designing California native&nbsp;plant gardens since 
 1999 in the Bay Area. Her goal is to&nbsp;design creative, beautiful landsc
 apes that are ecologically&nbsp;oriented and practical. Areas of particular
  focus include&nbsp;suggesting plants for pollinators, converting lawns to&
 nbsp;drought tolerant plants, incorporating California native&nbsp;plants w
 ithin existing gardens and combining edible plants&nbsp;with native plant g
 ardens.</p>
