 . The hill and surrounding 330 acres of serpentine grasslands are home to t
 he endangered Bay checkerspot butterfly and Santa Clara Valley dudleya (Dud
 leya setchellii). A portion of the hill makes up the Tulare Hill Ecological
  Preserve.\nThe walk will be 2-3 miles in length and includes a short walk 
 up the hill, about 300 ft. elevation gain and some off-trail hiking.\nBring
  snacks and plenty of water. Heavy rain cancels. Liability waivers for Tula
 re Hill are required. They will be available at the hike.\nRSVP is required
