There are also isolated population of Oregon grape (Berberis ner vosa) here, which is more commonly found north of the Golden Gate. We may s ee some fall color changes and remnants of fruits and capsules.\nWe’ll meet in the parking lot. The hike will be moderate in intensity, with an elevat ion gain of about 700 feet. We will walk at a fairly leisurely pace, stoppi ng for lunch about halfway. Be sure to wear good hiking shoes. A walking st ick could be useful. Bring lunch / snack and water. \nSpace is limited.
