Join Ring Mountain Stewardship Coordinator Amanda Magallanes, Vivian N eou and Ramón Curiel to see the Tiburon mariposa lily (Calochortus tib uronensis) on Ring Mountain Preserve and the Tiburon jewelflower ( Streptanthus glandulosus var. niger) at St. Hilary’s Preserve . Both species are rare and endangered, 1B.1 listed on the CNPS Rare Plant Inventory, here: www.cnps.org/rare-plants/cnps-inventory-of-rare-plants.

The Ring Mountain hike will be about 2 miles round trip; the trail is s teep and rocky in areas. We will caravan from Ring Mountain to Old St. Hila ry’s Preserve to see the Tiburon jewelflower before heading home. It c an be very windy and foggy, or hot and sunny, so dress in layers and wear s turdy hiking shoes. Bring hiking poles (recommended), sunscreen, hat, water , snacks and lunch.
