 "><p>Our Chapter will hold its 48th annual Wildflower Show on Saturday, Apr
 il 22 from 10am - 4pm at West Valley College in Saratoga. The show’s theme 
 is Climate Change - What Can I Do? This family-friendly event features hund
 reds of native wildflowers and plants on display as well as a variety of ac
 tivities for all ages.</p><p>A wealth of talks will be offered during the s
 how. Our keynote speaker is Bay Area author Mary Ellen Hannibal, who will t
 alk about the “Big, Little World” of citizen science. Her talk combines dee
 p personal notes with simple explanations for what you can do to make a dif
 ference. She is the&nbsp;author of Citizen Scientist: Searching for Heroes 
 and Hope in an Age of Extinction. Other talks and workshops will offer the 
 opportunity to learn about habitat gardening,&nbsp;rainwater capture, biobl
 itzes, wildflower arrangements, macrophotography and more.</p><div class="c
 olumn"><p>Participants will also be able to take tours of the Vasona Creek 
 Restoration Project and the Biology Department’s new Moon Garden. A selecti
 on of native plants and native plant art, T-shirts, books and other related
  goods will be available for purchase. A SOD (Sudden Oak Death) Blitz Stati
 on will be available at the show for people who would like to participate i
 n the 2023 SOD Blitz. More information is available at <a href="https://www
