At this hands-on training event, you will learn native plant pruning techniques from a native plant specialist and Master Gardener and help clean up a native plant garden that needs some TLC. In this session, we will be focusing on some large salvia (sage) plants. Please arrive on time. Instruction will start promptly at 10:30, but you will need time to find a parking place on the street and to sign in and fill out a waiver from the City. Participants under 18 will need to have the waiver signed by a guardian.
Please wear a hat, gloves and sturdy garden shoes. Bring plenty of fluids and hydrate often. If you have hand clippers, please bring them; if not, we will have tools you can use.
Address: Capitol Park near the corner of Peter Pan Avenue and Bambi Lane, San Jose
Directions: From Jackson Avenue, go east on Bambi Lane to Peter Pan Avenue. Parking is on the street. There are often many cars on the street, so give yourself plenty of time to find a parking place.
