Bonny Doon Ecological Reserve Flora Walk (Bonny Doon)
Thursday, March 27, 2025 10:00am

Contact Joe Cernac at (408) 499-2515

Join Joe Cernac for an exploration of the Bonny Doon Ecological Reserve. The reserve is located atop the higher Santa Cruz Mountains, with lots of moisture and humidity throughout the year and a unique sterile sandstone. It hosts some unusual flora, including ponderosa and knobcone Pine, five manzanitas, endemic Santa Cruz Cypress and Bonny Doon manzanita among them. The walk will be about 3 miles in length with negligible elevation gain.

Please bring lunch, snacks and plenty of water. Heavy rain cancels.

RSVP is required to join the walk. No drop-ins please and space is limited. To register, visit our Chapter’s Meetup page, here: www.meetup.com/California-Native-Plant-Society-Santa-Clara-Valley-Chapter/. We open the RSVPs one week before the event. Find your event within the page and tap/click the “Attend” button to reserve your spot.

Driving directions are provided on Meetup.

For more information call Joe Cernac at (408) 499-2515.
